ciao!
nella mailing list ho letto che, dopo gli aggiornamenti di un paio di giorni fa, a due o tre persone è sparito l' audio, zero suoni. é capitato a qualcuno anche qui?

Tranquillo, è successo anche a me :-) e credo a diverse persone... il problema sono i moduli del kernel che usano firmware proprietari.

Sul sito ufficiale di gNewSense c'è la spiegazione di come fare a fare il downgrade (basta non rifare l'upgrade quando viene notificata la disponibilità, ovvero subito) così da far funzionare di nuovo l'audio.
Però, va bene la libertà per la quale ho rinunciato ai video ed ai DVD, ma adesso nemmeno il suono mi sembra troppo; la cosa si fa sempre più stretta...

il metodo del downgrade non lo consiglio però, vuol dire tenersi i firmware proprietari lì presenti.
In attesa di controllare quel pacchetto e togliere le cose che non vanno, ho risolto ricompilando alsa.
Però, va bene la libertà per la quale ho rinunciato ai video ed ai DVD, ma adesso nemmeno il suono mi sembra troppo; la cosa si fa sempre più stretta..
perchè? non mi sembra che vi si debba rinunciare. Nei repo ci sono tutti i pacchetti che servono per vedere i video e i dvd :)

Ma uno come me, che non ci capisce proprio niente di compilazione et cetera, come fa?
Io per ora, anche se a malincuore, non ho fatto l'upgrade, perchè almeno l'audio lo voglio.
Se c'è una possibilità LIBERA di sentire l'audio perchè non viene presa in considerazione sul sito ufficiale?
Si potrebbe avere una piccola guida? O il pacchetto compilato?
Per quanto riguarda i DVD ed i video, quali sono i pacchetti da installare? Grazie

Se c'è una possibilità LIBERA di sentire l'audio perchè non viene presa in considerazione sul sito ufficiale?

non è che non viene presa in considerazione, è che ci vuole un pò di tempo. Io per esempio sto controllando i file che ci sono in quel pacchetto per vedere cosa si può rimettere, ma sono tanti!!!


Per quanto riguarda i DVD ed i video, quali sono i pacchetti da installare?

dai questo comando

...o magari non tutti tutti, incomincia aggiungendone qualcuno, cominciando da quelli che ti sembrano essere più inerenti ai dvd o ai file video che non riesci a vedere, e poi facci sapere :)
